Building Solid Foundations began with one simple calling: to love our neighbors.
Our journey started inside a local church where individuals and families facing difficult circumstances found encouragement, prayer, compassion, and practical support. We witnessed lives being changed through genuine relationships and acts of kindness, reminding us that hope can flourish even during life’s most difficult moments.
As our community continued to face growing challenges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, it became increasingly clear that more comprehensive support was needed. The needs extended beyond emergency assistance and required long-term solutions that addressed housing instability, addiction recovery, behavioral health, and successful community reintegration.
Guided by our faith and commitment to serving others, Building Solid Foundations evolved into a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring lives through holistic care and meaningful community partnerships. Today, we continue that same mission with a broader reach and greater impact, serving individuals with compassion while helping them rebuild confidence, independence, and hope for the future.
We proudly serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, behavioral health challenges, substance use disorders, emotional trauma, and barriers related to incarceration or re-entry into society. Many of the people we encounter simply need someone who believes in them. They need access to resources, compassionate guidance, and opportunities to rebuild their lives. We strive to meet each individual where they are, recognizing that every journey toward healing looks different.
At Building Solid Foundations, we believe true transformation happens when compassion meets action. Rather than focusing solely on immediate needs, we work to understand each person’s unique circumstances and connect them with services that promote long-term wellness and stability. Our approach combines Christian values with evidence-based behavioral health practices, allowing us to address emotional, physical, spiritual, and practical needs together.
Everything we do is guided by these commitments. We believe every person possesses inherent worth and deserves to be treated with dignity, and that communities become stronger when people work together.
We are committed to expanding access to behavioral healthcare, increasing supportive housing opportunities, strengthening community partnerships, and developing programs that continue breaking cycles of poverty, addiction, and homelessness. Every step forward brings another opportunity to transform lives and strengthen our communities.
